Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2021)
Mayer led the pitching staff in wins during the 2021 season with four and also added a save on the year. She pitched in 14 games, that included seven starts and three complete games in 54.2 innings. Mayer held a 5.63 ERA and tallied 27 strikeouts. Mayer threw a season-high 8.2 innings in a win against Northwest Nazarene and that started a stretch of three straight wins in three straight appearances as she also picked up wins against Montana State Billings and Central Washington. Down the stretch, Mayer added a road win at Saint Martin's and earlier in the season added her save against Central Washington. Eight times on the season, Mayer threw at least four innings and went for at least six innings in four games.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2020)
Mayer led the pitching staff in innings pitched, wins, complete games and strikeouts during the 2020 season. Overall she tossed 70.1 innings over the course of 13 appearances that included 10 starts. She went 6-4 with a 4.28 ERA and a save, along with eight complete games. She finished the season with 53 strikeouts and tallied a shutout. Mayer threw a season-high 9.2 innings in the marathon game against Saint Martin's and added an eight inning performance versus Wilmington. Four times during the season she allowed no earned runs, including the Wilmington game and another strong five inning game against Eastern Oregon. Mayer had multiple strikeouts in 10 games, going for a season-high 12 against MSU Billings and adding another 10 against Central Washington.

AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
GNAC Freshman of the Year...All-GNAC Honorable Mention…Made an immediate impact as a true freshman in 2019 leading the team in ERA at 2.19 and was second on the team in innings pitched with 112, wins going 12-4, appearances with 20 that included 15 starts, 13 complete games, led the team with five shutouts and also had 56 strikeouts to just 20 walks and held the opposition to a .256 batting average…Her numbers rank in the top-10 in program history since 2001 for a single season marks of seventh-best in ERA, fourth in fewest walks allowed (1.25), tied for third for most shutouts and tied for second for most saves with two…Made her first collegiate start going nine innings to pickup the extra inning win over CSU Monterey Bay allowing three earned runs and had five strikeouts without a walk in the 6-5 victory…Added an eight inning win against Simon Fraser allowing just two earned runs and had two strikeouts without a walk in the 3-2 conference victory…Tossed eight other seven inning complete games going a perfect 8-0 in those games…Had complete game shutout victories against Northwest Nazarene (seven innings pitched, three hits allowed, one strikeout no walks), MSU Billings (five innings pitched, two hits allowed, five strikeouts), Concordia (seven innings pitched, four hits allowed, seven strikeouts), Concordia (seven innings pitched, six hits allowed, three strikeouts, no walks) and against San Francisco State (seven innings pitched, three hits allowed and two strikeouts)…Both of the wins later in the season against Concordia and San Francisco State were in the Regionals that helped push the Wolves to the Regional title game against Concordia (CA).

Four-year letter winner at Rex Putnam High School… team captain and MVP as a senior… 2018 5A Pitcher of the year and First Team All-State… 2018 state championship Player of the Game… part of three league championship teams, making two state championship appearances with one title.
