AS A FRESHMAN (2015)
Competed in 10 outdoor meets in javelin…U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-West Region Team…Placed first at the Willamette Opener (43.88m)…Third place at the Saints Open (38.55m), Willamette Invitational (42.45m), and John Knight Twilight (40.20m)…Placed third at the GNAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a season-best mark of 44.12m (144-9)...Placed 19th at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships (38.76m).
PRIOR TO WOU
Three-year track and field letterwinner...Short was the state runner-up during her senior year in the javelin.
In volleyball, Short helped Lebanon High School make a pair of runs deep into the OSAA Class 5A State Tournament during her last two seasons. In 2013, the Warriors finished fourth at the tournament, and sixth in 2012. She was named First Team All-State and First Team All-Tournament at the Class 5A Championships both of those seasons. In the Mid-Willamette Conference, Short was also selected honorable mention in 2011, First Team in 2012, and Second Team in 2013.
