Biography
Schmidt competed at Clackamas High School in Clackamas, Ore., where she specialized in the sprints. Some of her top times include posting a mark of 12.90 in the 100, a time of 26.13 in the 200 and a mark of 59.07 in the 400. During the past outdoor season, Schmidt came in second in the 100 at the Centennial & Reynolds meet, placed second in the 200 at the Clackamas meet at Oregon City and added two wins in the 400 at the Sandy meet and then in the 6A-4 Mt. Hood Conference Championships. Schmidt was part of three relay teams helping the 4x100 relay win a pair of meets, the 4x200 place fourth in one meet and the 4x400 collecting three top-three finishes, coming in second twice and third in the conference championships.
