Named to the GNAC All-Academic team…Went 7-8 with a 2.63 ERA as a junior…Started 19 games and gained 81 strike outs and two…Led the Wolves in 2010 in innings pitched (106.1), games started (19), opposing bat avg. (.221), batter struck out (81), and appearances (28)...Ranked first in the GNAC in opponent batting avg. (221) and third in shutouts (3)…Selected as the GNAC Pitcher of the Week (May 3).

AS A SOPHOMORE (2009)
Second team All-GNAC…Academic All-GNAC selection…Named to the Mizuno Tournament of Champions All-Tournament team…Finished sixth in the conference with a 2.98 ERA…Second in the GNAC in opponent batting average (.204)…Posted a 10-10 record with 134 strikeouts in 129 innings…Recorded a shutout against Saint Martin's.

AS A FRESHMAN (2008)
Went 8-2 with a 1.92 ERA as a freshman…Started 13 games, completing six of them…Pitched five shutouts…Recorded 53 strikeouts in 69.1 innings while yielding only 62 hits and one home run…Won five straight decisions to end the season…Best start came against Seattle (Apr. 13) when she when a complete game while allowing two hits and two walks while striking out six.

PRIOR TO WOU
2007 graduate of The Dalles Wahtonka High School…Three year letterwinner in softball, four for volleyball…2007 Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year at the 5A level…2007 all-state and All-Intermountain Conference honors as a pitcher…2006 all-league honoree as well...Personal softball career best was at the NSFPA Summer Nationals where she had 18 strikeouts in one game…Also earned second team all-league volleyball honors in 2005 and 2006.

Born in The Dalles, Ore….Elementary and Middle Education major …Desires to change lives for the better…Parents are Mary Gale and Jeff Wood…Father works for UPS, Mother works for Wasco County Public Health…Jessica has an older brother (Andrew)…Father Jeff also played football for the University of Oregon, relative Sara Gale played basketball for the University of Montana.
