Western Oregon University Wolves

Branko Djuricic serves as an assistant coach for the Western Oregon University track and field program, bringing international competitive experience and a deep technical background to the Wolves. Djuricic oversees the multi events, jumps and hurdle events.

A native of Serbia, Djuricic was a standout multi-event jumper specializing in the high jump. He achieved a personal best of 2.24 meters (7-4¼), establishing himself among the top high jumpers in his country. During his competitive career, he was a Balkan Indoor Champion and a three-time national champion, competing under the global stage of World Athletics. While at Concordia, Djuricic was a four-time NAIA All-American. 

At Western Oregon, Djuricic has coached multiple GNAC indoor and outdoor conference champions. His athletes played a vital part in the 2022 women’s GNAC outdoor title and 2023 indoor and outdoor team title sweep for the Wolves. Djuricic coached Ujunwa Nwokoma who had four GNAC long jump titles for the wolves, including several triple jump podiums and currently holds both indoor and outdoor long jump school records. Other GNAC champs include Justin Conklin in the 60 hurdles, Ana Popchock in the triple jump and other school records and all time WOU performances. Djuricic coached at Concordia University from 2013-2020 where he also served as the club sports coordinator from 2016-20. In the program's final year, he helped lead them to the GNAC Women’s team title in 2020.
