Western Oregon University Wolves

Carolanne Powers, a freshman from Keizer, Ore. (McNary High School), won the javelin at the 2010 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships with a season-best and NCAA automatic qualifying standard of 154-9 (47.19m). That mark was the third longest in the country this season along with the third-best mark in the history of the GNAC. She will go to the NCAA National Championships to represent Western Oregon University in the javelin throw May 27-29, in Charlotte, N.C.
