LEWISTON, Idaho - The Western Oregon baseball team scored five runs in the fourth inning to defeat Linfield 6-4, Friday (Feb. 19), on the second day of the Guardian Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Tournament hosted by Lewis-Clark State.
This was the third straight win for the Wolves, as they moved their record to 3-7 on the young season. This was the second consecutive loss for Linfield (4-2) after starting the season with four wins.
In the fourth, Western Oregon sent nine men to the plate to break out to match its biggest inning of the season. With one out on the board, the Wolves had five straight runners reach base, three via a single and the other two on a hit-by-pitch, to set them up for the a multi-run inning.

Joe Pratt,
Grant Glover and
Devon Bouvier all registered an RBI, and Linfield committed a throwing error to account for the other run.
Blake Keitzman (1-1) earned his first win of the season after allowing four runs and seven hits over five innings of work. He also added four strikeouts.
Kirk Lind picked up his first save after pitching four innings in relief. He held the Wildcats without a run and to just four hits while striking out five. Ryan Larson (1-1) took the loss for Linfield after surrendering six earned runs in seven innings pitched.
Logan Lotti went 3-for-4 at the plate to account for three of the Wolves' nine hits.
Daniel Dillard added an RBI and a run while going 2-for-4. Six different student-athletes scored for the Wolves and five had an RBI.
The Guardian Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Tournament will continue for the Wolves tomorrow. They will begin with host Lewis-Clark State in the morning at 12:30 p.m., and cap off the day with a game against Central Washington at 3:00 p.m.
