LEWISTON, Idaho
- Lewis-Clark State pitchers held Western Oregon to two solo home runs to earn a 3-2 win in the Guardian Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning Tournament, Saturday (Feb. 20).

Josh Ashenbrenner, who had two of the Warriors' (6-1) five hits on the day, broke a 2-2 tie with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth.

The Wolves (3-8) twice fought back to tie the game on solo shots of their own. Jason Moseby hit the first in the top of the fifth to knot the game at 1-1. Daniel Dillard then added his third home run of year in the sixth to tie the game at two runs apiece.

Cody Fassold (1-0) picked up the win in relief of Tyler Lichty. Henry Buenrostro earned his second save of the season pitching the final two innings while striking out three. Michael Ward (1-1) took the loss for the Wolves after working seven innings with five hits and three earned runs.

Western Oregon mounted a rally in its half of the ninth. After the first out was recorded, Aaron Headrick and DJ Johnson had back-to-back singles to put runners on first and second. However, Buenrostro struck out Devon Bouvier and got Cesar Lopez to pop out to end the game.
