BILLINGS, Mont.
- Blair Wheadon scored a season-high 27 points but it was not enough to lift Western Oregon over Montana State Billings on the road, as it fell 84-76 Thursday (Feb. 25), at Alterowitz Gym.

Derrick Wright had 18 points to lead five Yellowjackets (13-9, 7-6 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) in double-figures. Mike McCrary also added a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Wheadon hit a Western Oregon (11-14, 4-10 GNAC) season-best six three-pointers in the contest (6-of-11) and also dished out a game-high five assists while playing all 40 minutes. Rico Myles (16), Matt Schmidt (15) and Kyle Long (11) all scored in double-figures for the Wolves. Tarance Glynn lead the team with a career-high 10 rebounds.

Western Oregon trailed 36-28 at the half. It cut MSU Billings' lead to four points two minutes into the second half but it would get no closer, as the Yellowjackets answered with a 15-4 run.

The final road trip of the season for the Wolves will continue Saturday, Feb. 27th, at Northwest Nazarene. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. (mst).
