MONMOUTH, Ore. - The Western Oregon University women's basketball team showed their support for the Monmouth/Independence community by participating in the Polk County Adopt-A-Road program last Saturday (May 8). Saturday's clean-up marked the third year the WOU women's basketball team has participated in the program.
The Wolves sponsor a one-mile stretch of Riddle Road, just north of the WOU campus.
“It feels great to give back to the Monmouth/Independence area,” head coach Greg Bruce said. “We really appreciate the support the community has shown us over the years.”
