ELLENSBURG, Wash.
- Danielle Reese scored a match-high 12.5 points but it wasn't enough to get Western Oregon past Central Washington on Thursday, Sept. 30.

The Wolves' 25-18, 25-16 and 25-12 loss left them at 6-6 on the season and 4-3 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. With the win, the Wildcats moved past the Wolves in the standings, as they went to 6-5 on the season and to 4-2 in conference.

Reese had nine kills, three service aces and a half block to account for her 12.5 points. Jorden Burrows notched 17 assists and Megan Triggs added 11 digs to lead WOU in those categories.

However, Reese also had nine errors to go along with those nine kills, and Western Oregon had 39 total errors in the match. Central Washington also outhit WOU .277 to .053.

"We just got smoked in every phase of the game," said Western Oregon head coach Brad Saindon. "We just never got anything going of any kind."

Meg Ryan led the way for CWU with 10 kills and nine digs.

"I hope we learned something from this and move on from here," Saindon continued.

The Western Oregon volleyball team will continue its season Saturday (Oct. 2) at Northwest Nazarene. The match will begin at 6:00 p.m. (PST).
