MONMOUTH, Ore. – Looking for its third win in a row, the Western Oregon volleyball team returns to action this week as the Wolves host Saint Martin's on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7:00 p.m. Admission to the match is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and non-WOU students. WOU students receive free admission into the contest.

Western Oregon enters the league match with a mark of 11-8 overall, 10-5 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, as the Wolves swept a pair of contests against Northwest Nazarene and Central Washington last week. The Wolves have won seven of nine matches and currently stand in fifth-place in the league.

Becky Blees leads the WOU attack as the sophomore from Portland (Madison HS) earned co-GNAC Player of the Week honors the week. The middle blocker had 18 kills and 19 blocks to help the Wolves hold Northwest Nazarene and Central Washington to a combined .047 hitting percentage in a pair of road victories. On the season, Blees leads the team with 79 total blocks.

Saint Martin's enters the week with a record of 6-16 overall and stands in a tie for seventh-place in the GNAC with a 4-11 league mark after falling to Central Washington and Northwest Nazarene last week.

Western Oregon leads the all-time series, 28-3, and has won 13 straight over the Saints, including a 3-1 victory at Saint Martin's earlier this year.

Following the match against the Saints, the Wolves return to action on Thursday, Nov. 10, as WOU hosts Alaska Fairbanks at 7:00 p.m.
