BILLINGS, Mont. - The Yellowjackets raced out of the gate and did not look back en route to a 69-49 win over the Western Oregon women's basketball team on Saturday, Dec. 31.

Bobbi Knudsen had 22 points to lead MSU Billings (10-5, 2-2 GNAC). Janiel Olson also added nine points and 14 rebounds. Melissa Fowler led the Wolves (3-11, 2-2 GNAC) with a season-high 18 points and five rebounds.

Montana State Billings jumped out to a 21-5 lead in the first eight minutes of the game as Knudsen scored nine of her 22 points during this stretch. The teams would play even the rest of the half with MSUB taking a 36-20 lead into the half. In the second period the Yellowjackets would extend their lead to as many as 25 before settling on the final 20-point margin of victory.

For the first time this season the Wolves can say they were really outrebounded by a Division II opponent. MSU Billings won the battle of the boards 44-29, which included a 23-11 advantage in the first half.
