Tickets for the game are available at the Brougham Pavilion box office. Tickets are priced at $20 for reserved seats and $15 for general admission. Student and senior citizen tickets for the general admission section are $6. There will be no group or team discounts offered.

FIRST THINGS FIRST
Monday's contest will mark the first-ever postseason berth for Western Oregon since it transitioned to NCAA Division II in 2000-01. WOU's 9-9 record in GNAC play is the first time since 2001-02 that a Western team has finished with a .500 record in conference play. The Wolves finished the GNAC season with a 5-4 road record while recording sweeps in four different series, also firsts.
SCOUTING SEATTLE PACIFIC
Seattle Pacific comes into Monday's contest as winners of six consecutive games, including a 71-63 victory over No. 6 Western Washington last Thursday . . . The Falcons are 11-2 at home this season but have not dropped a home contest in over a month, falling 54-53 to Saint Martin's back on Jan. 20 . . . SPU is averaging 67.1 points per game in GNAC play and are outscoring their counterparts by more than nine points per game . . . The Falcons top the conference in field goal percentage defense (36.9), three-point field goal percentage defense (27.9), and rebounding margin (+8.4) . . . Junior guard Nyesha Sims (10.8 ppg, 7.0 rpg, .431 FG) is the only SPU player to average double-figures . . . Senior guard Maddie Maloney (7.6 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.1 apg) and senior forward Caitlyn Rohrbach (9.8 ppg, 5.7 rpg, .436 FG) were named to the All-GNAC Second Team while redshirt freshman Katie Benson (9.1 ppg, .407 3 FG) was named the GNAC Co-Freshman of the Year.

Seattle Pacific used a 14-5 run in the second half to pull away from the Wolves despite big games from senior guard

The Falcons led 32-21 at halftime but Western closed to within five at 42-37 with 11:09 left. It was at that point that SPU made their run, taking a commanding 56-42 lead with 6:00 remaining. The Wolves would get no closer than nine points the rest of the way.
Zahler led all scorers with 16 points, connecting on four of seven three-pointers. Peterson registered a double-double behind 12 points and ten boards. She also had five blocked shots. Zahler grabbed seven rebounds, as did freshman forward
Melissa Fowler.
The Wolves largely outplayed the Falcons in the second half, outscoring the hosts 33-32 while shooting 44 percent to their 34.4 percent. Western also made 50 percent of its three-point attempts while SPU shot just 22.2 percent from distance.
Points in the paint were even at 26-26, and SPU managed just five more second-chance points than the Wolves. The Falcons won the rebounding battle 45-37 and grabbed 19 offensive rebounds.
Seattle Pacific was 16 of 20 from the free throw line while WOU hit just nine of their 15 attempts. Western's first free throw attempt came with just 1:30 remaining in the first half. SPU had attempted ten free throws at that point.
The 64 points were the lowest Seattle Pacific has scored against the Wolves since Jan. 6, 2007 (a 61-57 SPU victory).
SPU senior forward Caitlyn Rohrbach scored 12 points. Fellow senior Melissa Reich recorded nine points and 11 rebounds.

GAME TWO: SEATTLE PACIFIC 78, WESTERN OREGON 70 (2/17/11)
Despite 23 points from
Sara Zahler, Seattle Pacific outscored Western 13-3 over the final 4:41 to earn the hard-fought victory.
WOU took a 67-65 lead on a triple by Zahler with 4:41 left in regulation. The Falcons responded by scoring 13 unanswered points to go up 78-67, sealing the win. A Western trey with 15 seconds left resulted in the final margin.
Zahler's 23 points came on eight of 16 shooting, including five of ten from long range.
Melissa Fowler recorded 12 points and five rebounds. Sophomore guard
Jamie Richardson added ten points and two steals. Senior forward
Danielle Bellando tied her career-high with four assists.
Seattle Pacific was hot early, connecting on their first 11 shots of the game. They ended the first half having made 61.5 percent of their shots. They shot 55.1 percent for the game. The Wolves shot 43.9 percent from the field.
Western was outscored by eight points from the free throw line. SPU made 20 of 26 shots from the charity stripe while WOU hit 12 of its 15 tries. The Falcons attempted 17 free throws in the second half while the Wolves took just four.
SPU junior guard Nyesha Sims scored a career-high 26 points on ten of 13 shooting. She grabbed ten rebounds to complete the double-double.

GNAC TOURNAMENT BRIEF
Western Oregon's game is one of four quarterfinal match-ups to be played Monday as part of the inagural GNAC Tournament. #1 Western Washington hosts #8 Simon Fraser (5 pm PST), #2 Alaska Anchorage hosts #7 Northwest Nazarene (6:15 pm PST), and #4 Montana State Billings hosts #5 Saint Martin's (6 pm PST). The four winners will meet Wednesday (3/2) at the sites of the two higher-seeded teams. The GNAC Championship will be held Saturday (3/5) at the site of the highest-seeded remaining team. The winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA West Region Tournament (3/11-3/14).
