Monmouth, Ore. – The Western Oregon women's basketball team returns to action this week as the Wolves host a pair of home games, facing Montana State Billings on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 7:00 p.m. before a meeting with Seattle Pacific on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 2:00 p.m. Admission to each contest is $6 for adults and $4 for seniors and non-WOU students and can be purchased online or by calling the WOU ticket office at 503-838-8449.

The game against Montana State Billings will serve as Alzheimer's Awareness Night as the Wolves join forces with Alzheimer's Network of Oregon and the Alzheimer's Association Oregon Chapter to raise awareness about the debilitating disease.

Western Oregon enters the week in seventh-place in the league standings with a mark of 3-6 in league play, 4-15 overall, after the Wolves dropped games to Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks last week. Rylee Peterson continues to lead the Wolves with 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while Jade Haas has averaged 10.1 points per game for WOU.

After defeating Seattle Pacific last week, Montana State Billings comes to Monmouth with a 13-7 overall mark and a 5-4 mark in GNAC play. Bobbi Knudsen leads the Yellowjackets attack at 16.9 points per game and is averaging 17.4 points per game in conference play.

Seattle Pacific, 12-5 overall and 6-3 in league play, currently sits in a three-way tie for third place in the conference standings after falling to the Yellowjackets last week. Katie Benson leads the team at 16.1 points per game while Nyesha Sims is averaging 11.6 points per game to rank second on the squad.

The meetings mark the second of the season between the schools as the Wolves dropped decisions to the Yellowjackets and Falcons earlier this year.

Following the home contests, the Wolves will return to the road as they travel to Bellingham, Wash., to face Western Washington on Thursday, Feb. 2, at 7:00 p.m.
