Box Score ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Western Oregon volleyball team dropped a 21-25, 18-25, 15-25, straight-set decision at the hands of No. 22 Central Washington in a Great Northwest Athletic Conference match on Thursday night. With the loss, WOU falls to 11-5 overall, 4-3 in league play while the Wildcats improve to 13-4 overall, 7-1 in conference action.
Macy Hjellum led all players with 16 kills as the Wildcats utilized a .269 hitting percentage to keep the Wolves at distance and claim the victory in straight sets.
The Wildcats held the Wolves to just a .110 hitting percentage as no WOU players reached double-digit kills.
Danielle Reese led the way with nine kills for WOU as Krissi Kember added seven.
WOU did manage nine team blocks on the night as
Becky Blees registered four blocks to lead the Wolves.
Megan Triggs had 13 digs to lead WOU while Kaely Kight of CWU led all players with 15 digs on the night.
WOU will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 13, as the Wolves travel to Nampa, Idaho, to face Northwest Nazarene at 6:00 p.m.
