MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon volleyball team saw its 21-set and eight-match win streak snapped by Central Washington as the Wildcats claimed a 3-0 (22-25, 20-25, 17-25) victory over the Wolves on Saturday night. With the loss, WOU fell to 19-6 on the season, 12-4 in league play, while the Wildcats improved to 19-7 overall, 12-4 in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action.

The Wolves could not manage to get anything going throughout the match as the Wildcats held late leads in each of the first three sets. The Wildcat defense held WOU to just a .158 attack percentage as CWU hit .263 of the match.

Krissi Kemper continued her strong play for the Wolves as the middle blocker led WOU with 10 kills while posting a .500 attack percentage with only one error. Marcy Hjellum led all players with 13 kills on the night.

Megan Triggs led the WOU defensive effort as she posted 18 digs to lead all players while Hannah Deede and Kemper each had two blocks for WOU.

The win gave Central Washington the season sweep of WOU after claiming a 3-0 victory over the Wolves earlier this season in Ellensburg, Wash.

The Wolves will look to rebound from the loss when the Wolves return to action on Thursday, Nov. 15, as WOU hosts Saint Martin's at 7:00 p.m.
