Volleyball makes it seven in a row with sweep of SPU

Wolves claim seventh-straight win and avenge early season loss to Falcons.

Box Score SEATTLE, Wash.  – The Western Oregon volleyball team captured its seventh-straight victory as the Wolves cruised to a straight set, 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-20) victory over Seattle Pacific on Saturday afternoon. With the victory, the Wolves improved to 18-5 overall and 11-3 in conference play as the Falcons fell to 11-12 and 8-6 in conference action.

The Wolves led in each set from start to finish as WOU hit an impressive .295 for the match, hitting .321 in the first set while posting a .433 attack percentage in the second set victory.

Samantha Ward led the way with 12 kills while Danielle Reese posted nine kills and a team-leading 16 digs.

Another strong defensive performance propelled the Wolves as they held Seattle Pacific to just a .176 attack percentage while recording eight team blocks. Becky Blees and Reese led WOU with four block assists as Krissi Kemper posted two blocks in the win.

Jordin Ramos and LesLyne Satele each recorded 17 assists in the win as the Wolves avenged a loss to Seattle Pacific earlier in the season.

Cailin Fellows led SPU in the loss with 15 kills.

WOU will look to make it eight wins in a row when the Wolves return home to face Northwest Nazarene on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 7:00 p.m.
