BILLINGS, Mont.
- The No. 14 Wolves looked like a team that had the goal of winning a series this weekend as they went into Billings and took all four games from the Yellowjackets including today's doubleheader, 18-0 and 11-3 (May 12).

Western Oregon, which is ranked No. 1 in the West Region, is now 40-9 on season and finishes its Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule with a 29-3 mark. WOU winning percentage (.906) in conference is the best ever for the Wolves' in Jeremiah Robbins' seven-year tenure. It is also the second-best ever for Western Oregon at the Division II level, trailing only the 2003 team that went 22-2 (.916) in the GNAC. MSU Billings ends its season at 22-24 (13-19 GNAC).

Game 1
Kirk Lind threw seven innings of scoreless ball to move into second place on the Wolves' all-time win list and the Western Oregon offense pounded MSU Billings for an 18-0 win.

Lind (7-2) moved his career record to 25-7 with the win to break a tie with Mike Ward and take over sole possession of second place in the Wolves' record books. He gave up five hits and two walks while striking out two over his seven innings of work. Lind ran into trouble on a couple of occasions but was able to pitch out of the jams by inducing four double plays.

Boyd also had two hits, including a homer, and scored three runs. Bo Folkinga also went deep and added three hits and two RBI. Western Oregon put up two in the top of the third after getting out of a two-on, no-out situation in the bottom of the second. The Wolves would then break the game open with five in the sixth and a 10-spot in the seventh.

Travis Shigeta would complete the shutout for WOU by allowing just one base runner in his two innings of work.

Game 2
Bo Folkinga went 4-for-5 with a triple, a home run and five RBI to lead Western Oregon over 11-3 in the nightcap.

Folkinga and Blake Miller, who had four hits of his own, helped lead the top four hitters in the Wolves' order to eight runs scored and nine RBI. Matt Nylen went 3-for-4 out of the No. 2 spot in the order with three RBI and three runs scored.

Western Oregon went with the staff game in which Travis Bradshaw (9-2) started, and went two innings, to pick up the win. Zach Nuno backed up Bradshaw with two scoreless innings.
