He would deliver the two-run, game-winning single in the bottom of the sixth as Western Oregon scored four to erase a 5-3 Saint Martin's lead.

Western Oregon had built a 3-0 after the fourth, but SMU hit a solo home run in the fifth and added four runs (three unearned) in the sixth to take the lead. The Wolves were able to get out of the inning by throwing a runner out at the plate with two out as Matt Nylen threw a strike to Kyle Blackwell to nail the runner at home.
