Krissi Kemper and
Danielle Reese each had 11 kills to lead Western Oregon to a 25-20, 25-22 and 25-16 win over Chaminade on Friday (Sept. 7).
This was the second straight win in Hawaii for the Wolves (5-1). WOU once again dominated at the net outblocking the Silverswords 8.5 to 1.0. Kemper led the effort with three stuffs.
Becky Blees hit .545 in the match to lead an efficient Wolves offense. She killed seven balls on 11 swings and made just one error. As a team, WOU hit .255 for the match and its hitting percentage improved in each set.
Setting the hitters in positions to make the kills all night was
LesLyne Satele. The Honolulu native passed out 22 assists and did not make an error.

LesLyne Satele had her best match in a Wolves uniform," said Western Oregon head coach
Brad Saindon. "She rose to the occasion and played really well in front of 40 members of her family who were in the stands. I was very happy for her."
"We had good balance out of our offense tonight," continued Saindon. "This was our best match of the season and I hope it's a glimpse of things to come."
Megan Triggs posted 10 digs to lead Western Oregon. Four other Wolves had at least six digs apiece.
Samantha Ward added three service aces.
Western Oregon will have its hands full in the final match of its road trip when it plays No. 16 BYU-Hawaii on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10:30 p.m.
