MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon University volleyball team picked up its second straight victory with a four-set win over Saint Martin's University (Wash.) Saturday, 23-25, 25-26, 26-24, and 25-23.

The Wolves (7-13, 4-6 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) are now 31-3 all-time versus SMU. WOU has won 16 straight matches over the Saints dating back to a five-set loss at home in 2004.

Western Oregon came from behind for the victory after falling in the first set. The match was back-and-forth, featuring 21 ties and six lead changes.

Becky Blees led Western Oregon with 11 kills. She finished with a .391 attack percentage. The senior added eight block assists, and is now eight shy of the conference all-time career record. Northwest Nazarene's Cammy Dranginis owns the four-year-old record of 367. Megan Triggs had a match-high 21 digs, while Christie Colasurdo added 11. Jordin Ramos led the Wolves with 24 assists. Blees and Colasurdo both had a pair of aces.

As a team, WOU had a .215 attack percentage, and held the Saints to .062. Western Oregon held Saint Martin's to .067 attack percentage in the first meeting this season. SMU had a 49-48 advantage in kills, but the Saints committed 39 attack errors to Western Oregon's 19.

The Saints (7-15, 3-7 GNAC) Kristyn Ross and Brooke Good combined for 26 terminations in the loss. Ross had a double-double with 10 digs as well. Jessica Riddle and Halee Hernandez contributed 13 and 10 digs. Cymbree Decosta dished out 21 assists, while Candice Pedroza had 19. Larissa Hamilton had three service aces.

The Wolves welcome Alaska (3-19, 2-9) and Alaska-Anchorage (15-8, 9-2) Thursday and Saturday for 7 p.m. starts.  UAF enters the match in Monmouth on a five-match losing streak, while the Seawolves top the conference, but have lost two straight.
