MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon University volleyball team picked up its 10th victory of the season with a four-set win over Montana State University Billings, 25-20, 30-28, 21-25, and 25-21 Thursday.

The Wolves (10-15, 7-8 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) and MSUB battled through a match that featured 29 ties and 10 lead changes. Both teams had 54 kills. Western Oregon finishing with a .182 hitting percentage, while the Yellowjackets were at .157. After winning two tight sets, WOU fell in the third set, before holding off MSU Billings in the last set.

Hannah Deede led the Wolves with 11 kills. Jordin Ramos had a double-double with 25 assists and 17 digs. Christie Colasurdo added 16 digs, while Madi Kuther and Megan Triggs combined for 21 digs. Erin Dobson dished out 19 assists. Krissi Kemper was in on three blocks. Western Oregon had five blocks as a team.

This week's GNAC Offensive Player of the Week, Monica Grimsrud, led all players with 22 kills. It was the third 20-kill match in a row for Grimsrud. The Yellowjackets' (5-19, 2-13 GNAC) Chelsey Walter had 14 terminations with a .429 attack percentage. Sydney Oberstein had an individual season-high of 28 digs. Kyndal Williams dished out a match-high 45 assists, and added 12 digs. Stormy Siemion chipped in 14 digs.

Western Oregon has won 14 of the 18 all-time meetings between the programs. The Wolves have won seven of the eight all-time matchups in Monmouth versus MSUB. WOU has won five straight over the Yellowjackets in the series.

Saturday, Seattle Pacific (13-10, 9-6) and Western Oregon meet for the 39th time in a series that began in 1986. Western Oregon will honor Blees, Kemper, and Triggs who have all been part of incredible teams the past four seasons at WOU. The three seniors will be playing their final matches inside the New P.E. Building. Saturday's match begins at 7 p.m. Live video and stats will be available on WOUWolves.com, and the match will be broadcasted live throughout the Willamette Valley on KWVT.
