MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Alaska-Anchorage volleyball team rallied from a first set loss for a four-set road win at Western Oregon University Saturday, 23-25,25-16,25-20,25-20.
The Seawolves (17-8, 11-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference), which are receiving votes in the national poll, were outhit in the match .144 to .149, but pulled off the win to remain atop the conference standings.
Alaska-Anchorage had three players with double-doubles. Katelynn Zanders had 14 kills and 16 digs, Brooke Pottle had 10 kills and 17 digs, and Morgan Hooe dished out 19 assists with 11 digs. Quinn Barker also had 16 digs. Caitlin McInerney added 10 terminations. Siobhan Johansen finished with a match-high 22 assists.
The evenly fought match featured 24 ties and nine lead changes. Both teams had 75 digs and seven team blocks. The Seawolves finished with 10 service aces to WOU's three. Western Oregon also committed 15 service errors and UAA had 10.

Becky Blees had eight kills with a .438 attack percentage.
Jordin Ramos had a double-double with 14 assists and 10 digs.
Megan Triggs and
Kelsie Christensen added 28 and 10 digs.
Blees is three block assists shy of breaking the Great Northwest Athletic Conference career record. The senior has amassed 365 blocking assists since 2010, and needs just two to equal Cammy Dranginis' four-year-old record. Blees has a conference-best 104 block assists this season.
Western Oregon travels to No. 10 Western Washington (17-3, 10-2) for its next match Thursday. The Vikings won the earlier season meeting in three sets in Monmouth. Thursday's match will have live video and stats on WOUWolves.com at 7 p.m
