ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Western Oregon University volleyball team had its season come to an end in three sets at Central Washington University Saturday, 15-25, 21-25, and 19-25.
The Wildcats (15-11, 11-7 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) are ranked ninth in the NCAA Div. II West Region poll. CWU cruised to a first set victory after finishing with a .375 attack percentage as a team. The Wolves jumped out to an early lead in the second set, but it was Central Washington that rallied for the win. The Wildcats then controlled the final set leading by as many as nine.
On Senior Night at Central Washington, Erin Smith had 11 terminations and hit .500 in her final home match of the regular season. Catie Fry had 35 of the Wildcats' 39 assists. Kaely Kight and Zoe Iida combined for 25 digs. Linden Firethorne had five blocks in the match.
Central Washington finished with a .250 attack percentage in the match. CWU also had seven team blocks. The Wildcats had eight service aces.

Krissi Kemper and
Becky Blees ended their WOU careers with team-highs of six kills each.
Megan Triggs contributed 15 digs.
Erin Dobson and
Jordin Ramos dished out 13 and 12 assists.
Blees finishes as the Great Northwest Athletic Conference all-time leader in block-assists. Her final career tally is 383. Blees also finishes fourth in GNAC history in total blocks. Triggs, the WOU all-time leader in digs per set, ends her career with 1,585 digs. That total is top 10 all-time in the conference. Kemper ends her career as the only All-American selection in Wolves' volleyball history last season.
