MONMOUTH, Ore..- The Western Oregon women's basketball team returns to action this week as they travel to Lacey, Wash., to take on Saint Martin's on Saturday Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m.

The Wolves enter the contest with an overall record of 8-15 and a 3-10 mark in Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC) play after a victory last week at home over Central Washington before a home loss to Northwest Nazarene.

Freshman guard/forward Mariah Durian continues to lead the Wolves in scoring with 12.0 points per game. Senior guard Lorrie Clifford, who leads the WOU in assists with 2.9 per game, is the other player averaging double figures with an average of 11.9 per game. Clifford continues her climb up the WOU NCAA Division II career ranks as she is second on the all-time list in assists (233) and is fourth all-time with 821 points.

On the defensive end, Dana Goularte continues to be the leader, leading the Wolves in rebounding (6.0 rpg), steals (46), and blocked shots (25). As a team, the Wolves give up an average of 66.7 points per game while scoring 62.0 points per contest.

Saint Martin's enters the week with a record of 11-12 and 4-9 in GNAC play after the Saints lost at home to the Wildcats and Crusaders last week.

Junior forward Chelsea Haskey leads the Saints in scoring with an average of 14.0 points per game and is also the leader in rebounding with 6.7 boards per contest. Sophomore guard Jori Skorpik leads the Saints in assists (2.2 apg) and steals (36), while freshman forward Ciara Pedroni leads the team in blocks with 23.

WOU fell to SMU, 54-47, earlier this season and swept their two meeting last season.

Following the contest against the Saints, the Wolves return to action next week with road games at Alaska Fairbanks on Thursday, Feb. 21 at 6:15 p.m. followed by a meeting with Alaska Anchorage on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 6:15 p.m.
