#WOUSoccer Ties Central Washington



ELLENSBURG, Wash. – The Western Oregon University soccer team played to a scoreless draw at Central Washington University in Great Northwest Athletic Conference action Saturday.
 
The Wolves (4-4-2, 2-2-2 Great Northwest Athletic Conference) posted their fifth shutout of the season. It was the second consecutive shutout for Amanda Rose Johnson and the WOU defense.
 
Johnson made a career best 13 saves in the game, the second most so far this season in the conference. The Wildcats outshot Western Oregon, 24-17. CWU had a 13-6 shots on goal advantage as well. Central Washington took 10 corner kicks in the game, while the Wolves had five.
 
Vicky Cruz Rosales took five shots for WOU, placing two on the net. Makana Pundyke had four shots. Hadli Farrand placed four of game-high seven shots on goal. Kayla Lipston made six saves for CWU (4-5-1, 3-2-1 GNAC).
 
Western Oregon returns home and welcomes No. 22 Western Washington Thursday. The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start. Live stats will be available on WOUWolves.com.
