MONMOUTH, Ore. – The No. 2 Lewis-Clark State College baseball team grabbed an 11-4 win at Western Oregon University Sunday to complete a four-game road sweep in Oregon.
 
The Warriors (43-7), ranked second in the NAIA, won two games at Great Northwest Athletic Conference regular season champions, Western Oregon, and swept two games over Linfield College, the No. 1 ranked team in NCAA Div. III, Saturday. Lewis-Clark State is now 13-2 against Great Northwest Athletic Conference opponents this season, including 5-1 versus the Wolves.
 
Jacob Cano went 3-for-5 at the plate for LCSC. Michael Sexton was 2-for-3 and drove in three runs. Cody Chartrand (5-0) remained unbeaten on the mound this season with the win. He gave up three earned runs on five hits through six innings. He had two strikeouts and a walk.
 
The Warriors opened the scoring with three runs in the top of the first inning, and tacked on a fourth in the second. In the bottom of the second, Garrett Harpole hit a two-RBI double and Josh Solemsaas then brought in Harpole with a groundout. LCSC added another run in the third.
 
Lewis-Clark State tacked on six runs over the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. A Michael Sherwin double down the left field scored Daniel McNabb for the final score.
 
Eric Huson (6-2) was credited with the loss. He allowed four earned runs on five hits in two innings. The junior had a strikeout and a walk. The Wolves (29-19) committed both errors in the game, while being outhit 13-8.
 
Western Oregon honored 12 seniors that played their final regular season game on the WOU Baseball Field. The Wolves host the Great Northwest Athletic Conference Championships for the second straight season beginning Thursday. The two-day event brings second-seeded Central Washington and third-seeded Saint Martin's for the round-robin, double-elimination tournament.
 
The first game of a tripleheader is at 10 a.m. Thursday. Top-seeded Western Oregon faces Saint Martin's. Live video and stats will be available from all five possible games on WOUWolves.com.
