WOLVES TRAVEL TO GOLDEN FOR MINES TOURNEYThe Rocky Mountains are the travel destination for the Western Oregon women's basketball team as they participate in t a tournament hosted by Colorado School of Mines. On Friday, Nov. 27, the Wolves will play at 1 p.m. Mountain (12 p.m. Pacific) in a neutral-site game against the Regis Rangers. WOU will face tourney host, the Orediggers of CSM at 3 p.m. Mountain on Saturday, Nov. 28. Colorado Mines will provide live video and stats at the link above.

WOLVES WEEK IN REVIEWHosting the Hampton Inn D2Shootout in Monmouth, the Wolves went 1-1 following a loss to Chico State (65-54) and a thrilling overtime win over Evergreen State (77-75).
Sydney Azorr led WOU with 11 points on Saturday, followed by 10 points and five rebounds off the bench by
Kelsey Henry. In Sunday's victory,
Jordan Mottershaw hit two free-throws with a second left in overtime to post 20 points.

IN SEARCH OF POINTSThrough four games, Western Oregon is scoring only 55.8 points per game – last in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. The Wolves have played good defense, only allowing opponents 64.0 points a contest.

SURVEYING THE RANGERSRegis, out of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, are 1-3 after a pair of losses in a tournament at Fort Hays State last weekend. Friday's game will be the third all-time meeting and, for the time, the rubber match. The Rangers won last year's meeting, 69-54, in Monmouth. Bay'Lee Purdy leads Regis with 15.5 points per game.

DIGGING FOR W'sThe Orediggers are 0-2 after a pair of double-digit losses at home in the Tony Corbetta Classic. Colorado Mines has a 1-0 advantage in the all-time series with a 60-49 win during the 2009-10 season. Senior forward Courtney Martin scores 10 points per game and is tied for the team lead with five rebounds a game. Â
WOLVES – A LOOK AHEADLeague competition for the Wolves will begin on the road with contests at Seattle Pacific (Thursday 12/3) and Saint Martin's (Saturday 12/5). The next home game is December 12 against California Baptist, the NCAA national champion runner-up from a season ago.
