LAST WEEK
Western Oregon opened up Great Northwest Athletic Conference action on the road and suffered a pair of losses. The Wolves lost at Seattle Pacific on Dec. 3, 79-58, and could not hold on to a late lead in a 75-71 loss at Saint Martin's on Dec. 5. Kaylie Boschma led WOU with 10 points against the Falcons in earning a starting spot in the next game against the Saints. Balanced scoring led to the Wolves holding the lead at SMU until the last quarter. Jordan Mottershaw had 14 points and Kelsey Henry added a career-best 13 points.

LEADING THE PACK
Preseason All-GNAC guardJordan Mottershawcontinues to top the WOU scoring list at 11.1 points per game. On the rebounding list, Jasmine Miller leads all at 4.6 boards per contest while Natalie DeLonge and Ali Nelke follow with a 3.6 average. Sydney Azorr is the Wolves leader in 3-point shots made (13) and assists per game (1.9).

BOMBS AWAY
The Wolves fired away from behind the 3-point arc last weekend. Other than WOU's overtime win against Evergreen State, the outside shooters took 19 attempts from distance against Saints on Dec. 5 and connected nine times. The offensive production also came from the free-throw line where the Wolves were 24 of 35 for the game.

ABOUT THE LANCERS
Head coach Jarred Olson took over the program in April 2012. In three years, he made CBU a national powerhouse. Last season, California Baptist played for the national championship, eventually losing in the final game to California University of Pennsylvania. The Lancers are 7-1 this year, losing on the road in a rivalry matchup against Azusa Pacific on Dec. 5. Four returning players average above 10 points per game - Cassidy Mihalko tops the list at 18.5 points. Darsha Burnside is a double-double threat every game (15.6 ppg, 13.8 rpg). This will be the third all-time meeting between WOU and CBU as the Lancers try to remain unbeaten (2-0).

WOLVES - A LOOK AHEAD
One more game awaits the Wolves before the holiday break. That game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 19 at Humboldt State in Arcata, Calif. Tip time is scheduled for 2 p.m. against the Jacks.
