LAST WEEKThe Wolves went 0-2 last week playing in the Mines Thanksgiving Tournament, hosted by Colorado School of Mines.
Launia Davis came off the bench to score 10 points, but WOU could not overcome a slow first quarter start in a 74-53 loss to Regis on Nov. 27. The next day,
Natalie DeLonge had seven points and 11 rebounds during the Wolves' 62-47 loss to the host Orediggers.
DEFENSIVE HIGHS, OFFENSIVE LOWSAs conference plays opens this week, Western Oregon is looking for offensive continuity while maintaining its solid defensive principles. Through six games, the Wolves rank 11
th in the GNAC with its scoring offense posting 53.8 points per game. The defensive effort to hold opponents to 65.3 points per game – fourth best in the GNAC – has kept the Wolves in games.

Jordan Mottershaw ranks in the league top 20 with a scoring average of 11.3 points per game. Mottershaw is 6 of 16 from 3-point land and 18 of 24 from the foul line. Forwards
Jasmine Miller and
Ali Nelke rank 1-2 in team rebounding with 5.2 and 4.2 rebounds per game, respectively. Senior guard
Michelle Bromagem is the assist leader with two helpers per contest.
ABOUT THE FALCONSSeattle Pacific finally gets a chance to play in front of a home crowd on Thursday when they host the Wolves. SPU is 2-3 on the season with wins over Humboldt State and Fresno Pacific, but currently find themselves on a three-game skid after losses to UC San Diego, Azusa Pacific and Point Loma. Courtney Hollander is the Falcons' leader at 12 points and 9.4 rebounds per game while Stacey Lukasiewicz has offered the most helpers with 19 assists. Seattle Pacific leads the all-time series 36-4 heading into the 41
st meeting between the two schools.
ABOUT THE SAINTSSaint Martin's is in a similar position as the Wolves – 1-4 on the season, with their only triumph coming during the WOU Hampton Inn D2 Shootout against Northwest University on Nov. 21. Last week, the Saints dropped two games in Colorado to Fort Lewis and UC Colorado Springs. Krista Stabler (15.4) and Megan Wiedeman (11.4) are the top two scorers while Wiedeman averages a double-double with 10.2 rebounds per game. This meeting will be the 37
th all-time between the Wolves and the Saints. SMU holds a 32-14 advantage including winning both contests last season.
WOLVES – A LOOK AHEADAfter two games in GNAC play, the Wolves head back to Monmouth for their next home game on Saturday, Dec. 12 against No. 2 California Baptist, the NCAA national champion runner-up from a season ago.
