STORYLINES
- After 19 days away from the New P.E. Building, Western Oregon is back at home for a pair of GNAC league games against Simon Fraser (Dec. 31, 3 p.m.) and Western Washington (Jan. 2, 7 p.m.).
- The Wolves wrap up the 2015 calendar year with a tip-time just nine hours from the opening midnight of 2016.
- WOU seeks their second home win of the season and first in GNAC play.

ABOUT WESTERN OREGON
- At Humboldt State, Emily Howey posted her first career double-double (12 points, 13 rebounds) and added a pair of blocks in a return to the starting lineup. WOU saw a fourth quarter lead slip away in a 65-56 loss to the Jacks on Dec. 19.
- The Wolves' 206 free throw attempts rank 101st in the nation in free throw attempts, while their 135 makes are also in the top-150.
- WOU is scoring 56.3 points per game while, in comparison, holding opponents to 68.9 points per contest.
- Head coach Holli Howard-Carpenter is in her third year at Western Oregon.
- Western Oregon was picked to finish 10th in the GNAC regular season title by the league's coaches after finishing ninth in the league with a 5-13 conference record in 2014-15.

ABOUT SIMON FRASER
- Simon Fraser returns to conference play after a 26-day layoff. The Clan split their first two league games in Alaska – L, 76-74 at Alaska Anchorage and W, 77-60 at Alaska.
- SFU is led by five players scoring in double figures. Senior forward Meg Wilson has played only two games, but tops the scoring list at 16.5 points per game. Sophomore guard Elisa Homer is 24 for 69 from behind the arc and averaging 15.3 points.
- The arc has been good to the Clan, ranking fourth in the GNAC in 3-point offense while holding opponents to a .270 percentage (second in the league).
- Rachel Fradgley is averaging a double-double (10.7 points, 10.0 rebounds).
 
ABOUT WESTERN WASHINGTON
- The Vikings are one of three teams atop the GNAC standings with a 2-0 league record. WWU upset previously undefeated Alaska Anchorage, 71-62, on Dec. 5. Most recently, they split games at a tournament in Las Vegas. After defeating Midwestern State by 20 points, the Vikings saw a five-game winning streak snapped by Quincy, 72-62.
- WWU ranked sixth in last week's D2SIDA West Region Media Poll.
- Aleisha Hathaway scored a career-best 24 points in the loss against Quincy in securing the GNAC Player of the Week award for Dec. 14-20.
- Taylor Peacocke paces the Vikings scoring 14.7 points per game. Kayla Bernsen is the team's best rebounder (7.6) while ranking second in scoring (12.6). Kiana Gandy is the third WWU player averaging more than 10 points per game (12.3).
- WWU is the top field goal percentage team in the GNAC (.468) and sits fourth in scoring offense (69.8).
