BILLINGS, Mont. – After a first half goal from Western Oregon soccer, Montana State Billings came back in the second half to claim a 2-1 win on Thursday in Billings.
The Wolves (4-3, 0-2 GNAC) took charge early in the game as
Makana Pundyke beat a defender down the sideline and crossed the ball to
Allison Sprecher, who scored in the 26th minute. This goal added up to be Sprecher's third of the season.
Though it was close, Western Oregon outshot the Yellowjackets (4-1-1, 2-0 GNAC), 4-3, in the first half.
Within the first four minutes of the second half, Montana State Billings bounced back quickly as Hayley Warren fed the ball to Jessica Spang, who then got the equalizer. It was the duo of Warren and Spang to create the winning goal twenty minutes later. Warren sent a through ball into the 18-yard box, where Spang picked it up for her fifth goal of the season.
Shortly before the Yellowjackets' second goal, the Wolves fired three shots one after the other within two minutes. By the end, they outshot Montana State Billings overall, 11-5, with 10 Wolves having a chance at the goal. However, Western Oregon couldn't put the ball in the back of the net, and the Yellowjackets held on to the lead.

Lindsey Mabinuori made one save during the game, whereas Yellowjackets' Chloe Hopps had two.
Western Oregon continues to look for their first GNAC win as they will finish up the weekend road trip at Northwest Nazarene on Saturday.
