"Tonight was an absolute lack of focus and effort to execute our game plan," head coach
Holli Howard-Carpenter said. "We escaped the first half with only an eight point deficit but failed to make a run at all in the second half."
The Wolves posted a 39.6 percent in field goals, while the Nanooks had a 57.1 field goal percentage. Western Oregon finished 13 of 17 free throws and went 4-for-18 behind the arc.
Michelle Bromagem led the Wolves with a season-high of 15 points.
Jasmine Miller added 10, and
Ali Nelke,
Kelsey Henry as well as
Jordan Mottershaw each had six. While

Alaska's Jordan Wilson had 25 points for the night, Kaillee Skjold recorded 18, and Jaylee Mays had 11. Skjold also added seven assists and five rebounds.
"Fairbanks played tough and executed well on offense against our man and zone," Howard-Carpenter said. "We let their ball pressure bother us, and they converted on our turnovers."
Alaska created 27 points off of Western Oregon's 25 turnovers, whereas the Wolves scored 14 off of Alaska's 19 turnovers.
The Wolves were able to slightly outrebound the Nanooks, 30-25, in which Mottershaw totaled six boards, and Azorr added five.
