• Last time out: Western Oregon opened a season 2-0 for the first time since 2004 winning the 2016 WOU/Hampton Inn D2 Shootout with wins over San Francisco State and Cal State East Bay.

WOU IN THE COSLET CLASSIC
• Western Oregon has not played in the Chico State Coslet Classic since 2006.
• Western Oregon went 0-2 in their last visit to Chico with a neutral site loss to Stanislaus State (70-82) and a road loss to the Wildcats (49-100).
• The Wolves have ties to Chico State with the school being the alma mater of assistant coach Katie Girten and a former assistant coaching stop for Holli Howard-Carpenter.

ABOUT WESTERN OREGON
• Western Oregon had a distinct advantage on the boards in a 2-0 week to open the season. Transfer guard Shelby Snook led WOU in scoring in both games (18 vs. SF State, 16 vs. East Bay) while junior forward Savannah Heugly also had a pair of double-digit performances off the bench. The Wolves outrebounded the Gators on Saturday, 45-31, and the Pioneers on Sunday, 35-31.
• The Wolves are seeking their first three-game win streak under Holli Howard Carpenter. WOU's last three-game winning streak came during the 2012-13 season with victories over Pacific Lutheran, Willamette and Corban.
• Head coach Holli Howard-Carpenter is in her fourth season at Western Oregon. She has compiled a 20-42 career record at WOU.
• Familiar faces appear on Howard-Carpenter's bench with the Katie Girten, Nia Bravo and Micah Walker all returning to the Western Oregon staff.
• Western Oregon was picked to finish 11th in the 2016-17 GNAC regular season title race by the league's coaches.

ABOUT CHICO STATE
• The Wildcats made an early statement in the exhibition season with an 80-76 overtime win over the University of the Pacific on Oct. 30. Last weekend at the CCAA/PacWest Challenge, Chico State went 1-1 with a loss to Dominican (80-67) and a win over host Notre Dame de Namur (59-44).
• Chico State will play Holy Names on the road on Wednesday before hosting the Coslet Classic beginning Friday.
• The Wildcats are being led in scoring through two games by forward Natalie Valenzuela (16.5) and guard Whitney Branham (11.5)
• Head coach Brian Fogel is in his ninth year at Chico State and 13th year overall.

ABOUT SONOMA STATE
• Sonoma State, like the Wildcats, opened their season at the CCAA/PacWest Challenge at NDNU. The Seawolves got through the weekend unscathed win wins over Notre Dame de Namur (88-67) and Dominican (87-84).
• Sonoma State will play Dixie State on Friday at the Coslet Classic before facing Western Oregon on Saturday.
• The Seawolves are shooting the ball well early in the season with a 47.3 field goal percentage.
