Yanick Kulich tallied a game-high 19 points and seven rebounds, but the Western Oregon men's basketball was defeated by UC San Diego 75-63 on Saturday night in a rematch seven months removed from the two teams meeting in the NCAA Division II West Region finals.

Western Oregon (2-2) shot 41.2 percent from the field in the game but allowed the Tritons (5-0) to shoot 48.9 percent overall while hitting 23-of-25 fouls shots (92 percent).

Junior guard
Demetrius Trammell had 11 points off the bench with three makes from distance.
Malik Leaks had seven points and three assists in a reserve role, while junior
Ali Faruq-Bey finished with seven points and six rebounds. Western Oregon's bench contributed 40 of the team's 63 points.Â

UCSD, returning three starters from last year's squad, scored 28 points in the paint and connected on six shot from beyond the 3-point arc.

Christian Oshita had 16 points and seven rebounds to lead the Tritons. Adam Klie finished with 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists for UCSD, who lead for over 37 minutes in the game.

Western Oregon heads to St. George, Utah for a post-Thanksgiving tournament. The Wolves will face Westminster College out of the RMAC on Friday, Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. MT and follow with a meeting against host Dixie State on Saturday, Nov. 26 at 7:30 p.m. MT.
