ABOUT WESTERN OREGON
  • Last time out: Western Oregon came back from a 15-point first-quarter deficit to win their first road game of the year, 62-52 at Concordia on Feb. 9. Michelle Bromagem (15 points) and Sydney Azorr (14 points) each had three connections from behind the arc while Emily Howey was a perfect 5-of-5 from the floor. On Thursday in a ROOT Sports televised game, the Wolves fought hard in the second half, but could not make it two comebacks in a row, falling to the host Yellowjackets, 65-48, in Billings. Howey had another solid offensive game with 12 points (5-of-8) while Jasmine Miller notched eight points and eight rebounds.
  • Despite not having one player averaging more than 10 points per game, Western Oregon has 10 players averaging 4.0 points or more per game. Leading through 22 games is Jordan Mottershaw at 7.5 points followed by Sydney Azorr at 7.1 points and Emily Howey at 7.0 points.

  • Until the Feb. 9 win at Concordia, all three previous wins for WOU have come at home – in overtime against Evergreen State on Nov. 22, a close call against Simon Fraser on Dec. 31 and a double-digit win over Concordia on Jan. 12.
  • Head coach Holli Howard-Carpenter is in her third year at Western Oregon.
