BELLINGHAM, Wash. – Western Oregon softball left Western Washington with a 5-2 loss on Monday morning.
After defeating the Vikings on Sunday, the Wolves fell to 10-11 overall and 3-3 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference, while the Vikings are now 12-12 overall and 7-7 in the conference.
The Vikings scored all five of their runs in the first three innings with one in the first, another in the second, and three in the third.
Western Oregon got on the board in the sixth inning as freshman pinch hitter
Jenna Kelly drove a double down the left field line and scored after sophomore pinch hitter
Alex Frazier's single.
The Wolves scored again in the seventh when junior
Kelsie Gardner came home off of freshman
Ryanne Huffman's double. However, that was all the Wolves would get, and the Vikings earned the victory.
Western Oregon totaled five hits, whereas Western Washington had eight. Sophomore

Lexi Jennings also added one hit during the game.

Lizzet Dominguez took the loss after pitching the full six innings. Dominguez struck out one batter.
Weather permitting, the Wolves will host their first home games of the season on Friday, March 25 at 3 p.m. against Central Washington and on Saturday, March 26 at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. against Saint Martin's.
