MONMOUTH, Ore. – The Western Oregon baseball team will begin its pursuit of a second consecutive GNAC Baseball Championship with rematches against the two teams that stood in opposition in last year's tournament – Montana State Billings and host Northwest Nazarene. The third-seeded Wolves, who posted a league high 25 wins, heads to Nampa, Idaho for round-robin matchups beginning Thursday.
WOU was not in the last NCAA West Regional rankings, so a GNAC Baseball Championships could prove quite important for further postseason aspirations.
The Wolves will face the second-seeded Yellowjackets at 12 p.m. MT and follow with a 3:30 p.m. MT matchup with the top-seeded Crusaders. WOU will look to outlast the other two teams and advance to Friday's championship games.
