• The 2016-17 Western Oregon women's basketball team will lace up their sneakers for two final regular-season games this week when they travel to Washington to play Saint Martin's on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 p.m. in Marcus Pavilion and close out the year at Brougham Pavilion against Saint Martin's on Saturday, Feb. 25 at 2 p.m.

ABOUT SAINT MARTIN'S
The Saints have compiled a 5-21 overall record, but are just 1-17 heading into the final week of league play. Last week, SMU saw their losing streak hit 12 games with losses in Alaska – 73-31 to the second-ranked Seawolves of Alaska Anchorage and 56-41 in Fairbanks to the University of Alaska. In the first meeting between the Wolves and the Saints on Dec. 3, WOU used a 17-0 run in the second quarter and held SMU to 27 percent from the floor in a 70-56 win in the New P.E. Building. Elin Johansson is the leading scorer for Saint Martin's at 13. 1 ppg. The Saints are scoring 57.8 points per game for the season while shooting 37 percent from the floor, 30 percent from 3-point land and 68 percent from the foul line.

ABOUT SEATTLE PACIFIC
The Falcons are one win away from securing a spot in the GNAC Championships and they can do that with a win Thursday against Concordia or on Saturday against the Wolves. SPU is a solid 17-9 on the season and sit in a tie for fourth place in the GNAC with a 9-9 league record. Facing a tough four-game stretch against three of the league's top teams, SPU has lost four in a row including a tough 63-6 1game in Fairbanks last week that pulled the Nanooks even with the Falcons in the standings. SPU is currently ranked ninth in the official NCAA Division II West Region. The Falcons are led in scoring by Courtney Hollander at 12.2 ppg followed closely by the 11.1 ppg from Jordan McPhee.
