MONMOUTH, Ore.—Shooting 50 percent from 3-point range, the No. 4-ranked Western Oregon University men's basketball team extended its winning streak to 13 games with an 86-72 victory at home against Concordia University on Tuesday.

Riley Hawken broke loose for a fast-break dunk after the opening tip which helped initiate a 10-0 run for the Wolves. With the opening outburst, WOU went on to post a wire-to-wire win as the lead never dipped below 10 points the rest of the night.
The Wolves connected on 7-of-14 from 3-point range in the first half with senior guard Dustin Triano providing a 3-of-3 effort from beyond the arc to generate a 45-31 lead at the break. WOU extended its lead over Concordia (4-17, 0-13 GNAC) by as many as 20 points midway through the second half before settling for the 14-point win.
The Wolves have not lost since Dec 2 and have posted double-digit winning margins in 10 of its 13 victories in the current streak. The outcome also extended WOU's perfect home record to 11-0 on the year.
Adding to the 3-point barrage,
Demetrius Trammell converted 4-of-6 from deep to score a team-high 14 points. Malik Morgan and Ali Faruq-Bay added 13 points each while Hawken ended the night with 12 points.
Overall, the Wolves were 12-of-24 from 3-point distance with six different players sinking a deep jumper.
Concordia was led by Christopher Edward, who finished with a game-high eight rebounds and a career-high 33 points. Edward hit 13-of-15 from the floor and 7-of-8 from the free throw line to lead all scorers. Jarrett Gray added 12 points for the Cavaliers.
WOU will turn around to play at MSU Billings on Thursday, Feb. 1. The Wolves follow the Montana match with home games versus Seattle Pacific (Feb. 8) and Saint Martin's (Feb. 10).
