PORTLAND, Ore. – Western Oregon will forfeit all four games from its scheduled GNAC baseball road series last week at Montana State Billings as a result of forgoing traveling for the competition, commissioner Dave Haglund announced today.
While weather conditions in Billings made MSUB's normal home fields unplayable for at least the start of the series, a suitable backup venue in Lovell, Wyo., had been arranged in advance by the Yellowjackets.
Under NCAA statistics rules, the games will count as forfeit wins and losses in the conference standings, but will not count in either team's overall win/loss record.
