MONMOUTH, Ore.—Picking up contests from cancellations from earlier in the year, the Western Oregon University baseball team has added two home games to its schedule.
The Wolves are now set to host Lewis-Clark State College for a single game on April 25 and will conclude its rained-out series against Concordia on May 1. Both games will have 2 p.m. starts at the WOU Baseball Field.
Lewis-Clark State is currently ranked No. 7 in NAIA with a 29-8 record. The Warriors have captured 19 NAIA national championships since 1984. Western Oregon had a three-game series scheduled in Lewiston, Idaho to start the year, but the games were cancelled due to inclement weather.
Western Oregon had a four-game home series planned against Concordia University April 14-15 but the series was shifted to CU's home field in Portland. Due to heavy rain in the metro area, the two teams only played three games of that series with Concordia taking the final two matchups by 5-4 scores. The Wolves defeated the Cavaliers 6-5 in the series opener after a walk-off 2-run homer.
Western Oregon and Concordia have faced each other seven times this season with five games being one-run affairs.
