Anderson Named GNAC Player Of The Week For Third Time This Season

PORTLAND, Ore. – Earning the honor for the third time this season, Curtis Anderson was named Great Northwest Athletic Conference Player of the Week on Monday. He was tabbed the Special Teams Player of the Week this week and the second time he has earned the special teams honor earning the first back on Oct. 25. He was also selected as the Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 11.

Anderson returned three kickoffs for 65 yards that included a long return of 30 yards in the road game at Chadron State this past Saturday. On defense, he added six tackles, five solo, along with two tackles for a loss of nine yards and a sack for a loss of six yards.

On the season, Anderson has returned 22 kickoffs for 425 yards. On defense, he has 42 tackles, 20 solo, along with 6.5 tackles for a loss of 21 yards, a sack for a loss of six yards, five quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a pass breakup in starting all nine games this year.

WOU will host Lincoln (CA) this Saturday for Senior Day starting at 1:05 p.m. at McArthur Field. Anderson and eight other Wolves will be honored as seniors before the game.
