INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – In the first official rankings of the NCAA West Regional, the Western Oregon University baseball team is third in the region. The top three teams will advance to the NCAA Regional Field that will take place next week.
WOU, holding a 20-6 overall and in-region record, are joined by top-seed Azusa Pacific (26-6 overall and in-region record), Northwest Nazarene in second (26-6 overall and in-region record), Concordia (CA) is fourth (21-15 overall and in-region record) and Central Washington is fifth (16-12 overall and in-region record).
The top three teams in the final rankings will advance to the NCAA West Regional that will take place May 27-30 at a host site yet to be determined. The NCAA Championship selection show for baseball will take place this Sunday, May 23 at 7 p.m. (Pacific). A link to watch the selection show can be found here
