MONMOUTH, Oregon --- The Western Oregon women's soccer team tied with CSU Monterey Bay 1-1 Sunday at WOU Soccer Field.
The Wolves (3-0-1) jumped on the board first in the 25th minute when freshman
Leeci Snyder scored her second goal of the season.
The score remained that way until the 65th when Monterey Bay's Nayeli Sandova Gallo scored on an assist from Catalina Villegas.
Western Oregon outshot the Otters 13-6 - but just 4-3 on shots on goal.
Snyder and
Briana Kubli led the Wolves with three shots apiece.
Olivia Holdenried had two saves in 85 minutes of action at keeper for WOU.
The Wolves start GNAC play 2 p.m. Thursday against Saint Martin's.
