SEATTLE --- The Western Oregon volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22) contest to Seattle Pacific on Thursday at Royal Brougham Pavilion.
After dropping the first set, the Wolves (5-9 overall, 1-5 GNAC) bounced back in the second and took a back-and-forth set late as with the score tied at 19,
Bailee Hartsook and
Madison Hornback had back-to-back kills to take the lead for good in the set.
Chloe Asciutto and Hornback finished the set with back-to-back kills to make it 25-22.
However, the Falcons (6-9, 4-3) took back the momentum in the third set for a 25-15 victory and edged the Wolves in the fourth 25-22 to close out the match.
Hartsook led WOU with 11 kills while Hornback had 10,
Delaney Smith finished with nine and four blocks and Asciutto had eight kills and five blocks.
Emily West had a team-best 24 assists while
Sophia Casarez added 13 and
Ally Henry had 12 digs to lead the team.
The Wolves return to play Saturday at MSU Billings.
