MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon women's soccer team ended their match against Saint Martins in a 0-0 draw at the WOU Soccer Field on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolves (7-2-3, 4-2-2) defense recorded its fifth shutout of the season while holding the Saints (3-3-6, 1-2-5) to seven shots, with goalkeeper Sophia Pierce saving the two shots that were on target.
Despite not scoring any goals, the Wolves played an aggressive game, logging 17 shots with five on target. In the 41st minute, Elizabeth Parker had a great goal opportunity, but her shot hit the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Raeanne Jones booted a shot from outside the goal box, which was narrowly saved.
The Wolves are back in action on Thursday as they prepare to face Seattle Pacific, currently in first in the GNAC, with a 3 p.m. kickoff.
