MONMOUTH, Ore. --- The Western Oregon football team fell to Midwestern State 33-6 Saturday afternoon at McArthur Field.

The Wolves (3-5 overall, 2-3 LSC) trailed 16-0 at the half before getting a shot of momentum thanks to an
Austin Bacher 69-yard touchdown run down the left side to cut the Mustangs' (3-4, 2-3) lead to 10.

But MSU scored 17 unanswered points and WOU wouldn't find the end zone again.

WOU was outgained in the game 298-197 in total yardage in the contest.

Bacher paced the WOU offensive attack with 129 yards rushing and a score.

Defensively,
Isaiah Abraham and
Tyler Copeland led the way for WOU with eight tackles apiece while
Aden Murphy had three tackles and an interception.

The Wolves hit the road next week to take on UT Permian Basin.
