MONMOUTH, Ore. — The Western Oregon women's basketball team lost its first game of GNAC play, falling 77-67 to Central Washington on Thursday night at NPE Building.

The Wolves (3-5 overall, 0-1 GNAC) started the second quarter down 19-18, but the Wildcats (7-3,1-0) would finish the first half on a 12-5 run. WOU played the remainder of the game close - CWU outscored the Wolves by one point in the third quarter and each team scored 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Kiylynn Dawkins led the Wolves with 19 points (shooting 9-for-13 from the field) and and added six rebounds. Cali McClave tallied 17 points (shooting 7-for-15) and a team-high eight rebounds and five assists. Triniti Youngblood had 13 points and two assists.

WOU returns to play 4:15 p.m. Saturday against Northwest Nazarene at home.
